New Hair Cut + New Name

Claire decided that she wanted a "summer" haircut. She wanted a haircut like one of her classmates from preschool, Lille. Claire took a picture with her of her little friend so that she would get the haircut she wanted. So now not only does Claire have a lovely new haircut, but she's decided to change her name to Lille and has informed us that that is what we are to call her!

We Got A Package!

Grandma Rae and Grandpa John sent the babes a nice package that arrived yesterday and Ethan and Claire were anxious to get in front of the camera wearing their new clothes!

Graduation Day

Thursday was Ethan and Claire's last day of preschool. They performed a special program with their classmates. Each child had a speaking part and they all sang 5 or 6 different songs. It was great. The video of the program is unfortunately too long to upload. After the program the children all sat with their parents and were called up individually to receive their special award for completing their preschool year. We were very happy that Ethan and Claire attended preschool this year. Their teacher, Miss Michelle--who is in the video--is wonderful and had great things for them to do and learn. There also seemed to be a lot of nice children in their class too and they both often spoke of their friends at school. Both Ethan and Claire have informed us that we should visit Miss Michelle often during summer break, as she will be missing them both very much.

Dancing with Jane

We've had some music on at home lately and Jane really responds to it...as you can see! Thanks to Leslie and Blake for letting us borrow the bouncer! Jane had her 6 month well baby check up yesterday. She weighs 14 lbs 9 oz (23 percentile) and is 26 inches long (53 percentile). She's doing very well and is lots of fun.

This little clip was taken a couple of months ago when Jane was little enough to stay in her swing. I had forgotten about it and got a good laugh from it!

Jane

Jane has taken to gumming her bottom lip all the time, making little smacking sounds! Very darling....if you listen closely, you can hear her! This little clip was taken today. Jane is also sitting up very well on her own. She started that earlier this week. She's pretty wobbly at times and it looks like she's going to topple over any moment, but often time she regains her balance and does very well. This photo was taken yesterday. Her little tongue is out all the time!

Breakfast with Jane

This morning was Jane's first big breakfast with rice cereal. She didn't really make any faces at the taste or texture of the cereal when it went in her mouth, but she kept looking at me as if to say, "what do you think you're doing?!" Most of it dribbled down her chin, but she was a good girl and enjoyed playing with the spoon! I know...lots of pictures of the same thing...but she's just so cute, isn't she?!

A Sunday Afternoon Stroll

We enjoyed a nice family walk on Sunday afternoon. Just down the street from our apartment is a park where Ethan and Claire love to feed the ducks.
