Happy Birthday to Jane!

IT'S THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!

Jane received some fun new things. Ethan and Claire liked playing with the new toys just as much as Jane!

Jane even got to go on the dogsled for her big day!

This is Jane's first experience with chocolate...it seemed like she wasn't sure what to think of it, but she kept wanting more!

After a long hard day of play, play, play, Jane takes a quick break!

The First Snow

It's been about a week and a half since our first big snow...enough to go tobogganing! Ethan and Claire got to try out their saucers for the first time and it was great fun. There is a little hill just the right size for us about a block from our apartment. Jane wasn't quite sure what to think about the snow. She is frustrated by her snowsuit because she can barely move!

Jane Scoots

This is the way Jane gets around these days...she's pretty fast too.

Claire's Dance Recital

Tonight was Claire's last dance class, ending with a recital. She kept dancing past, reminding me that I should be taking her photograph! She has really enjoyed this class and was sad to learn that this was the time we would be going. She is ready to sign up again.

Jane's New Hair Style!

It's A Party!

We had friends and family over on Saturday for cupcakes and ice cream to celebrate Ethan and Claire's recent birthday and Jane's upcoming birthday. Everyone had a great time.

Jane unwraps her first present! And has a good time playing.

Cupcakes!

Claire wanted to dress all the girls up so they could dance with the boys. So each girl in turn was taken back to Claire's room to get beautified! Here is the end result for Carlee and Grandma Rae!

Time to Play...

Ethan, Claire, and Jane

Here are the kiddies, as of October 28!

Picking Apples

We went up to a friend's farm in Logan. We picked apples and lavender. It was a perfect day and the kiddies had a great time running around.

Jane made a new friend!

So did Claire! She was so nervous of Zeus when we first arrived, but they became fast friends!

Halloween, Halloween, and more Halloween...

Below are several postings about Halloween...Ethan and Claire love Halloween and we went to a number of different events to celebrate. It was fun because Ethan and Claire chose different costumes just about every time we went somewhere. So, prepare yourself for Halloween, Halloween, and more Halloween below...

Halloween at Wasatch Advisors

Each year, since we have lived in Salt Lake, we have taken the kiddies treat-or-treating at Dan's work. It's been perfect: lots of candy and fun without having to bundled up in the freezing dark night with little, teeny kids. Ethan was Spiderman and Claire is The Island Princess. I love this first picture...Claire's face is the best. Jane was a little pumpkin. She had a good time scooting through the halls and seeing all the Halloween decorations. It's always a fun time.

This is as close as Jane got to eating candy!

Halloween at the Gallivan Center

This was another great time for the kiddies. They got to decorate their own pumpkin, run an obstacle course, get a bunch of candy, and of course dress up...again! Jane had a good time scooting around on the grass.

Halloween at Red Butte Gardens

A friend gave us tickets to this event. You get to walk all through the gardens and all sorts of great things are set us for the kiddies to do [ie: maze, make spider hats, ghost stories, face painting,etc..] It was really good for small children; no scary parts at all. It was a cold night, so we all bundled up. Claire was a princess and Ethan was Superman. It was a great night.

Halloween at Gardner Village

We love Gardner Village at Halloween with all the witches out. We hit the petting zoo and pony rides first. Then the children wanted to walk around, over and over and over again, to see all the witches. It was great fun.

Here is what Jane thought about Gardner Village:
