Who is that Girl??!!

Ethan and Jane fell asleep at the same time one afternoon so I did Claire's makeup. Her blush and lipstick made her itch too much, so she washed it off, but she wanted to keep the eyebrows. What a difference a little eyebrow makeup (aka: paint) can make!

Our Little Flower

Jane has been on a roll since the sweet potato miracle (see below). She now eats actual food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is not a picky eater. She'll try anything we give her now. Needless to say, she takes a bath 3 times a day! Grandma Rae Ann gave Jane her flower towel...very cute. Jane is always pulling it off.

The Girls on Sunday Afternoon

Claire and Jane came home from church this afternoon and played nicely together. This is my favourite dress of Jane's...looks so nice with her blue eyes.

Ethan Gets A Haircut

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Ethan wanted a new haircut for the beginning of the new school year. He said he wanted to, "cut it all off." And that's what he got! Dan cut it and Ethan is pretty pleased about his new haircut!

IT'S A SWEET POTATO MIRACLE!

Jane is 9 months old today and obviously feeling very grown up, as you can see! This is only the second time in Jane's life she has ever eaten like this, or really anything at all! About a month or so ago she ate an entire jar of pears, and nothing has really happened in the eating department since then until today at supper! Hopefully this will be the beginning of lots of good eating for Jane. She now weighs 16 pounds 3 ounces (10th percentile) and is 28 inches long (67th percentile).

Ethan LOVES Grasshoppers!

Ethan's love for grasshoppers started a little over a year ago when we took a trip to Wisconsin. He ran around Grandma and Grandpa's yard catching them as much as he could. He would hold them for hours in his little hand! He would call the grasshoppers that he caught his "friends" and would get upset if a leg or other part would "fall" (aka get yanked) off. And so, this year the love continues! On their hike (see below) Ethan continued to make friends with the grasshoppers!

Mountain Climbing with Grandma Rae and Lindsey!

Ethan and Claire were excited to take Grandma and Auntie Lindsey on this "dangerous hike"! They had hiked this mountain before with Dan and had a great time. This time is was 100 degrees outside and everyone looked red and sweaty when they arrived home! Needless to say Jane and I stayed at home!
