It's Been a Long Time....

Grandma Rae Ann made these hats for the kiddies. Jane wore her's around the house for several days.

I went out for groceries one day and came home to a lovely serenade!

This is Ethan and Claire's wedding photo. They were getting married and wanted their portrait captured to remember their big day! They are still not convinced that they will not be marrying each other. They have made a deal with each other that if Claire cannot find the husband she wants and if Ethan cannot find the right wife, then they will marry each other!

Well, it's been a long, long time since I have posted anything new. There are a couple of reasons for this. First of all, we were getting a high speed connection from our next door neighbours for $10/month, but our neighbours have moved, so we have dial-up again and it takes FOREVER to upload photos. Secondly, it seems like this has been a busy time with Dan's school applications being due, his having to fly to different interviews, and Alison going to CT to find a place to live and a school for Ethan and Claire. We are excited to be moving to CT in July and Dan is very excited to begin Yale's School of Management in the autumn.
Below are some recent photos of the kiddies. And finally, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE WONDERFUL MOTHERS IN OUR LIVES. WE LOVE YOU.

Ice Skating

We went ice skating for the first time with the kiddies on Tuesday evening at the Gallivan Center. It was a perfect night for it...not too cold and no wind. Ethan and Claire loved it! I can hardly believe how they both took to it. Ethan was skating by himself, without holding onto the railing or anyone, by the end of the evening. Claire also liked to go around by herself, hanging onto the side. It goes down in history as one of my favourite nights.

Jane Stands Up!

We took this little bit of video yesterday. It's the first time Jane has started standing up using only the floor to help her! She thought she was pretty clever--and she is--and she continued to stand up over and over again!

We all had a nice time this evening putting up our Christmas tree. I love this time of year and the children seem to as well. Jane loves the lights and points at them all the time...we'll see if we can keep her from pulling the tree over!

Helpers Around the House

Ethan and Claire can be good helpers around the house...especially if the job involves wearing rubber gloves!


Jane loves the dishwasher...here she is helping her Dad...which usually means pulling everything out that she can reach. We can never leave the dishwasher open and leave the kitchen, even for a moment; Jane climbs up onto the open door and starts throwing!
